Picnic to the ‘Hill of the Pony’

A few weeks ago we went on a picnic to the “Hill of the Pony” (also possibly hill of the donkey). A friend from Tufts came to visit while on a work trip in Kurdistan, and we learned traditional Kurdish dances, ate too much food as usual, climbed up a hill, played some football, and rode a donkey. Weekend fun, Kurdish style.

This post is from footsteps, a photo sketch book by Alamara, a friend and colleague. Head on over there for beautiful photos of Kurdistan!
